Minimally Invasive Treatment

LANAP Laser Periodontal Therapy

With laser periodontal therapy (LPT), we are able to treat your periodontal disease in a less invasive manner by using advanced technology. Lasers help preserve gum tissue during your treatment and can result in a faster recovery. The goal of LPT, like other periodontal therapies, is to reverse some of the effects of the disease and to stabilize your condition, helping you to maintain a healthy mouth in the future. With LANAP Laser Periodontal Therapy, your treatment and recovery are as easy as possible.

Correct Gum Recession

Pinhole® Surgical Technique

The Pinhole® Surgical Technique is a minimally invasive option for treating gum recession that is typically incision and suture-free. Traditional gum recession treatments use donor tissue or soft tissue grafts to help rebuild the gum line. This soft tissue would be sutured in place and would join with existing gum tissue as it healed. While this traditional grafting treatment is effective, comparable results can be achieved through the Pinhole® Surgical Technique. This advanced technique can also provide patients with natural-looking, long-lasting results, faster recovery times, and an improved experience.

Improve Your Health and Appearance

Periodontal Plastic Surgery

If you have a receding gum line due to aggressive tooth brushing or periodontal disease, we offer periodontal plastic surgery to improve the health and appearance of your smile. A soft tissue graft procedure will prevent additional recession and bone loss, and it also helps develop gum tissue where absent. During this procedure, our specialists will take a small piece of gum tissue to cover the exposed root. This effective, efficient procedure involves minimal (if any) patient discomfort.

Dental Implants

At Poulos & Somers, we use CoDiagnostix® software to plan our patients’ implant treatments. This technology gives us three-dimensional information on the anatomy of your mouth, and this precise data offers many benefits throughout your treatment process. The information from the 3D scan enables us to plan the ideal location for your implants, and it also gives us the ability to show you how your new teeth will look before your treatment even begins!

Accurate, Precise Treatment

CBCT & Guided Implant Surgery

Our office is equipped with a CBCT machine that gives us high-quality 3D reconstructions of your mouth. These informative 3D images give us much more thorough information than traditional x-rays, and help us plan your implant treatment for the perfect placement and fit. CBCT and guided implant surgeries give our patients peace of mind that their treatment will be completely accurate, and that their implant will look and feel natural.

These simple, non-invasive tests give our experts detailed information that helps us create an appropriate treatment plan tailored to your specific needs. Give us a call today to learn more about OralDNA and how our periodontists can help you achieve optimal dental health.

VISTA Technique

VISTA (Visual Instrumental Sight Track Access) is a minimally invasive dental surgery technique that utilizes intraoral endoscopes and micro-instruments for improved visibility and access inside the mouth. It enables dentists to see clearly into tight spaces and enhances precision for procedures like root canals, crown preps, and implants. Unlike traditional methods, VISTA uses a smaller incision so there is less bleeding and faster healing. The enhanced visualization also reduces risk of damaging anatomy. Overall, VISTA improves patient comfort while providing dentists greater control and efficiency during intricate dental surgeries.

They were amazing. I’ve had gum grafting done before and this experience was by far the best one I’ve had. Great care and a much quicker recovery than previous surgeries.
